Hunting & Fishing montana coyotes

howdy all was wondering if a there was any special regs for shooting yotes in montana such as wearin orange,any game license needed,permit or any other gfp rules as i dont want to be gittin into trouble.any rules for p-dogs also.thanks montana hiders.

No license, orange, etc required.

Just make sure you are either on public lands, or have landowner permission.

Most Federal Wildlife Refuges here have set season dates for predators, such as Charles M Russell, Medicine Lake, Bowdoin,etc. Be sure to check before you hunt there.

I always see coyotes going thru the Crow Reservation...

Don't know if or how you'd go about getting permission though if at all.

No orange, no season. Come and kill 'em.
Per comments above: Make SURE you know where you are regarding public land and what seasons are on Federal land. Forest Service land (federal) is pretty much wide open.

I know many years ago wen I called MT my home, I was able to get a pretty decent bounty for each one I brought in. Do they still have a bounty for them?

Depends on where you are and if there is an ongoing problem with the ranchers and yotes.
