Then you have the Conservative (moderate) side, let's call "Party P/R"
Then you have the Conservative (hardline) side, let's call "Party N/C"

There's something very creepy about Gary Johnson, my gut just tells me he's a total phony. Sometimes in politicians there's only one side. Would you have voted for the Republican Party in 2016 had Jeb "Please Clap" Bush had been the nominee? Would you really think voting for Bush would have protected you and the country from Clinton and the Democrats? People should try to get informed as they possibly can and yes vote with their conscience. In the 2016 elections you had 2 choices. Hillary Clinton or whoever was on the Republican Ticket. and ANY choice other than the person on the republican ticket was essentially a vote for Hillary Clinton. So yes, I would have voted for whoever was on that ticket unless they were worse than Hillary Clinton (who is a hard act to follow). Any of the candidates on the republican primary list would have been at least somewhat better for our freedoms and gun rights that Hillary who would have immediately launched an all out war on them.
It's specifically because lots of "conservatives" will only vote if they get the perfect candidate but the communists will vote for anyone as long as they are a party member, that we are loosing ground. You will NOT find a politician running for national office that is perfect or good, sorry, won't happen. They won't get to that point without having paid their dues.

Your assuming that everyone of those Republican candidates would actually work in opposition to Hillary Clinton and Democrats, I believe your assumption to be wrong. When you look at bad laws that have actually passed and become law, it's often been under Republican leadership not Democrats. Even the venerated Ronald Reagan (personally not a fan) gave us infringements on the 2nd Amendment and amnesty to illegal aliens.
Even your argument that they're not going to be as bad as Hillary and therefore we should vote them is flawed. If the Republican candidate was a Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, or John McCain those are people essentially in line with the Democratic Establishment and against everything most of us hold dear. Sure you can say they're not as bad as Hillary Clinton, but in terms of changes of policy and laws they're no different. Hillary will give you the middle finger while stripping you of your God given rights and further dismantling the Constitutional Republic, while Jeb will wave an American flag in your face while doing the same and waiting for you to clap.
It's not about getting the perfect candidate, no human being is perfect. It's about getting a candidate that is sincerely trying to defend our rights and values, and restore rule of law based on the Constitution and Bill of Rights. In that light there's President Trump, definitely not perfect, but I believe he's sincere in his desire to "Make American Great Again." So he gets my support and vote. Had Cruz won I would have supported him despite not entirely trusting him, also had Rand Paul won, although not as good as his father in my opinion I would have enthusiastically supported him. But most of the rest no. Not because they're not perfect, but because I believe they would act against my interests and that of the Country.
Don't blame Conservatives for not voting for these terrible candidates blame the GOP. I'm also sorry to tell you that if you've been supporting some of these candidates in the past the dirty business your involved in is voting for the enemy and your own demise.
