Well I finally got to break in the GAP on something other than paper. Brisk 38 degree morning, plenty of swirling wind and decided to hook up with a guy and go on a day hunt. Approx 140 yards, shot with 308 150 grain Barnes TTSX. Shot was more or less head on with a slight quartering towards. Entered through front right shoulder, broke shoulder, exploded heart, exited right behind front left leg leaving about an inch and a half hole. Tons of blood. Wobbled about 6 steps and dropped. First deer I've shot in quite a few years so I'm stoked! Will go chase a buck next week if all goes well.

It's against the rules of this site to post an animal you killed without a hero shot that includes the weapon used......ok not really, but it should be recommended.

Well done.
