Does anyone have any experience with these rifles, or just have any more info about them compared to the rifles mentioned above (Knights, JP, Gap, Larue, DPMS). </div></div>
I have a Les Baer .308 Monolith with braked 18" barrel. The rifle IS a tack driver that will shot .5MOA or better all day long. All major parts, including barrel, are made by Les and the machining and so forth are absolutely top notch.
That's the good news. Service is occasionally challenging particularly if you see things a bit differently than he/they do.
In addition the chambers/barrel are match spec and tight: I've had to be careful about what I feed it.
Disclosure: Les is an old friend who'se built me competition weapons for more than 20 yrs. That said I have other weapons (and have a Chad Dixon and a GAP coming) and so am not a shill.
Many of the others mentioned are also excellent. There's actually a nice set of choices in the .308 (or other) world.
Good luck.
