@CavScout85

I have little ones too. Still a great vid to see.

I didnt get to serve 2/2 to med issues I couldnt waiver, so I can see how it would be way different if deployed or with one coming up.
Just after we were married, 40+ years ago I was deployed regularly then I went back to a regular schedule for a while, our daughter packed me a bag one day and said "time for daddy to go bye byes again". Home comings were always better than departures.

I read about these women, Russia sniper during battle of Stalingrad. They knew how to shoot
Lots of people know how to shoot...

That bunch knew how to shoot. More importantly, they had what it takes to shoot at men. They knew how to hunt on a battlefield. They knew how to operate with ruthless efficiency in an utterly horrendous battle space with no creature comforts. Most importantly, they knew how to survive those environments.

Some tough, skilled soldiers right there.

I’d love to know what happened to them after the war... how did their Soviet paradise treat them under Stalin... Khrushchev... Brescznev... and if any lived into the Post Soviet days... how did their pensions keep them alive? USSR vets were treated like crap... wonder how these snipers fared?

There are more than a few Marines who share that sentiment!!!

Southern Cross is not some relic of Reconstruction Southern USA... It's about the strong spirit of half of the globe!

Nice runner!!!! Great post!

Cheers,
