That is definitely a grizzly. Black bear have straight nose bridges and no hump at the front shoulder.

Wasn't quite this fancy, but I built about a 3' tall one once. Also know a guy who builds some crazy ones. Believe he has some records.
I prefer the cannons but the trebuchet is cool too.
The guy I know works on some of the catapults and trebuchets that do that too
Gives new meaning to the term cornhole.
