Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hater of Euro sports cars. I grew up racing dirt bikes and drag cars and got to take some fast Porsches, BMWs and even a 365 BB on road tracks. But I'm mostly partial to cars I wrenched on and drove. A friend bought a brand new 69 Z and got the 4 wheel disc brake option, factory headers (delivered in the trunk with cast iron manifolds bolted on) chambered exhaust and cross ram dual 4 barrel intake. I helped install a roller cam and mod the suspension. It was a road car but could put down mid-to upper 12s in the quarter once Lonnie got some good rubber on the back. It was a blast to drive, defining "throttle response". We all raced dirt bikes, so we knew how to make low torque motors get up on the pipe. I miss those days every now and then.

Then there is the Lambo Super Diablo owned by Mike Tyson that I tweaked.
I took the useless A/C system and made 2 evaporators into intake air chillers unlike anything I've seen before or since (hey it's not like you could use the AC in a roofless car...so I put it to work).
Twin turbo V12 and was squirting just over a thou horsies after my upgrades.

Sold my Diablo in 2019 after almost 10 years of ownership. Soooo underrated...best car I've ever owned.

In Lafayette in the mid 60’s they would crank the air raid siren at straight up noon! You could set you watch to it. It was loud! 😳

My town fire department would hit the horn at 0645 and 1845.

They would play it like a blind angry man on the drums if it was a snow day and school was cancelled.

They must have stopped doing it 10 or more years ago and I miss it.

I'm guessing the trust fund babies that live here now didn't appreciate the noise.

You do know how to use
Do you? He said "shutting it down,"..

In 2013, the first two phases had the capacity to deliver up to 590,000 barrels per day of oil into the Midwest refineries. Phase III has capacity to deliver up to 700,000 barrels per day to the Texas refineries. On January 20, 2021, President Biden signed an EO to revoke the permit granted for the Keystone XL Pipeline **Phase 4** to
shorten the route, with a larger pipe, and link other facilities. All other phases were completed.

Impact? Yes! Extent? Google it.
No, I did not vote for Biden.

Also reported that Biden outpaces Trump in issuing drilling permits on public land.

Not very motivating...

That's not the complete story. More 1/2 truths; like when Obama was bragging that under his leadership; there was more drilling going on then anyone previously before. What O failed to mention, it was all on private land, where O couldn't shut the drilling down.

As for Biden...
biden linky
Sure, he issued more permits, but not because he wanted to..... NO, Biden IS trying to shut down drilling, it's because Biden HAD TO. Yes, Trump has policy moving forward and Biden by law had to move forward.
"While it is true that Biden issued a moratorium on gas and oil drilling on public lands in his first month in office, it was blocked in federal court. Attorneys general from 13 Republican states—led by Louisiana—successfully challenged the moratorium, effectively blocking it. U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, a Trump appointee, ruled that the states would suffer job losses and other injury if the moratorium remained in force. He ordered the Biden administration to go forward with lease sales."
Now you know the rest of the story. If the press is playing up Joe... you better find out the real truth behind their 1/2 truths.
