I'm in fairly decent shape for a 53 yo, but COVID fucked my lungs up so much I can barely jog 50 yards, let alone sprint. Never was an issue before that.
A 3 day water fast got me most of the way back from long covid. I still have some tachycardia and its great when my garmin watch thinks I am running a marathon while on the toilet...

It will go away.

Quite a few of us had that issue about 6 months after getting Covid, it probably will go away after a couple months.

Stress cardiomyopathy. Viral infections can cause cardiomyopathy, a heart muscle disorder that affects the heart’s ability to pump blood effectively. When attacked by a virus, the body undergoes stress and releases a surge of chemicals called catecholamines, which can stun the heart. Once the infection resolves, the stressor has ended and the heart can recover.
