My mother was a child then. She had most of her clothes made from those sacks. I have pillow cases and sheets made from them by her as a child. I even have some quilts made by her mother that have the back made from the sacks.

They still made them in the early 70s when the transition to woven plastic bags began. I'm sure there is some stuff here from my grandmother's made from them.

More than likely shot an arrow that was broken. If you have an arrow miss flex it and rotate it to make sure it's not broken. Or shooting an over draw and short ass arrows.
