Since we were turning this thread into an Electric Cars discussion thread, I thought I'd link to this video which shows that it's a bit of a pain in the ass if you run your EV to empty:
I have one of those measuring tapes. Inches on one side and "long inches" (tenths) on the other. It's put away in a special place where I have to really need it to get to it. Not to be used for casual measuring.

Obsess is definitely an exaggeration. Yeah rarely I’ll post a clothed picture of a transgender and laugh at y’all fawning over it, but that’s hardly an obsession.
As did I. Once, while verifying concrete form dimensions (using inches) prior to placement we had a tape "appropriated' by someone who felt he needed it more than we did. It happened to be in tenths. My boss told me to say nothing, it would turn up. It did. Next form check one crew's forms didn't match anything. My boss walked over the the carpenter crew's leadman and held out his hand. We got our tape back.
