Age 14 I worked part time at my Dad's service station (when they still had them). Was helping a guy install coil over springs on the rear shocks of his Chrysler so he could tow his boat. Used a floor jack and a piece of pipe under the differential to compress/decompress the shocks to find the best location for the clamps. The pipe was a little short, so we would raise or lower the lift. Like an idiot I'm standing there with my hand on the raised jack handle when he lowers the lift intending to raise. Before he could reverse directions, the jack, using my hand, had reshaped the fuel tank to the point fuel was flowing out the filler neck.
Walked two blocks to the ER. No broken bones, just lost a little skin. Returned to work and painted UP and DOWN on the wall next to the lift control.
The next week I helped him install a new fuel tank. Said it held eight gallons less.
Remote turbos have less lag regardless of pipe length..the exhaust is more turbulent the further back you get
Not sure why she felt it necessary to get all dressed up to make me a sandwich.
