I've been waiting for years for them to begin doing something like this. The tech had finally caught up to the idea.
One glitch, accidental or provoked, and the entire system goes into gridlock.
The theology isn’t the best, but at some point that is splitting hairs. I gotta say I understand what he is saying on so many levels. He isn’t wrong.

I have a sister in law that has Norwegian heritage. She glows. When she met some African friends of mine (Nigerian and Ghanian) they were captivated and couldnt believe that someone could be that white.
This is the absolute truth. I have seen Africans mesmerized and petting the blonde hair of women that were in-country. And then all parties sharing food and chatting like women do. Kind of crazy at first but it does rekindle a faith in humanity. Dudes are another matter at times.
Similar. While visiting Beijing in the 90’s with the family, our then 5 year son had near white hair.
It seemed that he was a novelty in Tiananmen Square with people lining up to rub his hair. After about the third rub, he started holding his hand out and saying “One Yuan”. And they paid Even with the bad translation.
I was a towhead as a child, very blonde. Lived in the middle east in the 70s and the Arabs would pet my hair for good luck. I wore my hair short and a hat when out and about. If any hair was sticking out they would remove my hat and pet me. I hate wearing hats now.

The horror show is already happening with so called Internet-linked "smart homes". Amazon and Alexa operated smart locks, lights, thermostats, etc., have routinely gone haywire due to glitches from software updates, locking people out of their own homes, shutting down heat/AC, and leaking surveillance camera footage to unsecured websites and compromising residents' privacy. And that is due to constant bugs in the programming alone. Nothing good can come out of any 'smart' interfaces in the long run. Hell, Arthur C. Clarke had already warned us about this with the intense scenes of Hal-9000 going rogue...
