This is a real problem. The company I work for has about 70K employees. They had to create a whole new HR process, and train management how to deal with...............................parents that call and want to know why their kid has not been promoted or given a raise. Most of the time when this happens the kids are right out of college and have only been in the work force for a few weeks or months.

These parents have driven their kids through school the same way, with only the best grades, because anything less and they hound the poor teachers. Most teachers relent in order to get them off their backs.

Mom pays kids $3,500 to help them with an apartment
Mom holds her tongue as the kids eat out 18 + meals a week

Mom is told by advisor that she has unrealistic goals and cannot retire for at least another 15 years as
mom spends too much
mom does not save enough
mom will spend all savings withing 3 years if she retires


Mom then continues to Enable kids
Mom then has real problems when her mom needs assistance with Long Term Care
