Washing your pocket knife
I have carried and use daily a pocketknife, since I was allowed to have one as a kid. More than once I’ve seen a shocked look or three sometimes when I take it out without thinking and cut something that needs cutting.

Some people assume that a knife is a weapon and not a tool. Of course those same will not hesitate to ask me to borrow it. And no, you may not. I’ve lost a couple good knives that way.

My favorite is when I’m eating or something and I whip out the knife to cut something. Some will say, “eww, is that thing clean?”
I’ll always say, “Sure, I wiped it on my pants after I skinned that snake the other day.”
Shuts ‘em up every time. 😁

Was buying a game console for one of the kids and the cashier is trying to pop open a tab on the box to record the S/N. After watching her struggle for 15 or 20 seconds I asked if she wanted me to open it. Pulled out the Benchmade auto and when the blade popped out, she clutched her hands to her chest, inhaled sharply and took two steps back. As soon as she ran my card I double-timed out of there.

Damn, we could be kin. Dad gave me my first one when I was about 4 or 5. Only time I don't have one is on a plane, once a year trip. But it's at the top of my checked bag.

My answer for that question was always, "Should be, ain't skint nothin' fer a few days"

Thank you,
MrSmith
