Kind of odd that an anti-gun, anti-Trump 17 year old son of an FBI agent would be interviewed twice within 6 months at opposite ends of the country as a witness to crimes involving guns.

Hate to say it but the incident in Cali was just him and his idiot friend acting like the typical millennial d-bag authority does not need to be given any respect types. As far as I have seen no firearms were part of that one. But he's extremely anti personal gunownership and is now using his 15 minutes of fame again to push something he's only been told to say.
Still if anything in the video his friend needs a serious beatdown and taught some respect. Not sure what exactly why a pair of disrespectful teens acting like a fucktards became news and why it was important to film.
Because, both of them are being cultivated for future Congressional or Senatorial careers.

I guess it needs to be said but the reason we're told to care is because the kids are mostly/all white. If the shooting was done in one of Chicago's inner city schools we'd have only heard about it once and that would be it. The news media wouldn't care like they do now. Though a tragedy in every sense of the meaning and my heart goes out to the families affected but in reality this is average weekend in places like Chicago, LA, Detroit ect. For all the BS regarding racism coming from the left this should have been more than evident to everyone who are actually the racists.
I don't dispute your underlying point, but consumers of the "news media product" do not have any say in what, or how it is presented. Specifically, it is the news media that decides what to present, whether it be "White" or "Black". I think it is reprehensible on the part of the media to make a conscious choice not to present (thereby overlooking and minimizing) the tragedies in the black community. All the while presenting those in the white community, appearing to give weight to "white lives being more important". I don't think that way. A tragedy is a tragedy, regardless of color. If your son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, or father were killed, it matters not what color you are. Grief, sorrow and despair are not color selective.
