Or perhaps she was in jail for a weekend?

Touche ! :ROFLMAO:

I dont do spicy (gives me GERD)

I had GERD bad. Was on various PPIs until they said "you have to come off PPIs" they know they are bad for you, and don't "fix" your problem.

Get you some American Health-Super Papaya Enzyme Plus. This stuff works and will CURE your GERD. Start out taking them 4 before, 4 during, and 4 after a meal. In about a month, you only need to take 4 or 5 if you eat something really upsetting. So safe my 83 year old mother, who has congestive heart failure, takes them by the hand full. She was on PPIs for years as well. We suspect that was part of her heart problems as her heart function has greatly improved.

It's hard to believe something so simple can work so well, I was skeptical, but it does work.

I have a hiatal hernia so its just a no go with spice. A touch here and there is enough. Among the many reasons I dont drink more than a couple beers at a time, almost always.
I got off the PPIs years ago due to the issues associated with them.

Dreaming up more ideas for the bacon yummy goodness. What do yall think of partially baking the bacon on a cookie sheet, then wrapping said frozen (great idea!) cheese and finishing baking? Just could do more at once for say a big birthday party or something.

I like the idea of adding something crunchy for contrast, like the asparagus, even a green bean or celery if you don't want/can't do jalapeño. Then have two different sauces for dipping or adding, like a nice rich bbq and a creamy something or other.

Damn right. Properly steamed or sauteed veggies are excellent. I used to eat much hotter, now I am careful. Still lots of jalapenos, garlic and habaneros, but in moderation most of the time.

cream cheese works too. cream cheese, chukar/quail/duck strips, 1/2 jalapeno, or green chile, (clean the seeds) stack the above (only on meat) and rap with bacon you will be invited back bar b que or in the oven on broil
Yepper. Mozzarella sticks is exactly what I was think'n. Of course, provolone sliced and stacked maybe 3 or 4 slices high sounds pretty damn nice as well.

I have the same problem. That damned gerd attack would hit me when I never expected it. I would end up choking on that vile.
I started taking a ginger root capsule and an apple cider vinegar capsule every day for about 2 weeks. I have not had any more problems since. Give it a try, it works. Good luck.

Screw it, we all read em all anyways! Keeps Tucker on his toes if anyone gets all butthurt.

The hiatal hernia is just a hernia of my diaphragm that doesnt give the squeeze at the entrance to my stomach (called the cardiac sphincter) from my esophagus. It is easily well managed with proper diet and moderation. Can screw a guy up if they dont take care of themselves. If I were to gain a lot of weight it would be worse.
Easy fix by surgery but then its near impossible to belch. My family friend who was my GI dr who did my first endoscopy recommended diet changes and no surgery. Not being able to burp means no beers. That would make me sad.

Just was at costco. Got more bacon, was down to 6 lbs in freezer, and more cheese sticks for this project.

Lash, I like your sauce ideas. Im thinking a fresh garlic and onion sauce for the cream style and maybe a touch of a bite for the bbq style sauce.
I was thinking a greek yogurt base with a touch of whole milk to thin down and just stir in minced fresh garlic and onion. Would be best if it sat for a bit to really spread the flavor.
Shoot, next thing you know we will have a SH cookbook going! Frank can do a special with Steven Reichlen.

florida-residents-were-sent-a-zombie-alert-during-blackout-14-photos-10.jpg

Over the weekend, Florida residents received alerts of “zombie activity” during a blackout shortly before 2 AM on May 20. Obviously your first reaction is “Wait…what!?”, followed by “Omg Rick Grimes has prepared me for this moment”.

However, the situation was later resolved when an official announcement said the alert message was a mistake and there is currently no zombie outbreak. The internet reacted appropriately with gifs, Florida jokes, and questioning the Mayor’s use of the word “currently”. As in, there might be an outbreak later!?

Hifty/hifty mix of Blue Cheese and Feta, stuffed into a Jalapeno, then wrapped in Bacon. Jab it with a stick, freeze it, then "drown-fry" it real quick, till the Bacon is crispy.

Serve that awesomeness after draining on paper-towel. Don't forget to make about eleventy more than you think you need, once the word get's out.

Just cut the stem end off, and core-out the ribs. The hole can be capped off with a button mushroom, if you're so inclined.

And yes, drown-fry in a deep fryer... except you gotta "hold 'em under" so that they get all cooked all the way around, at the same time. Not 'just set them in there, and they float, and only cook on one side' because that takes too long, and the cheese melts out, and makes a BIG mess.

Drown Fry! That's the short-form title for baptizing terrorists! :D
