Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

I believe that the cardinal virtues of the individual are courage, honesty, temperance and wisdom; and that the true measure of success is service rendered—to God, to Country, and to Mankind.

I believe that the fundamental problem of society is to maintain a free government wherein liberty may be secured through obedience to law, and that a citizen soldiery is the cornerstone upon which such a government must rest.

I believe that real education presupposes a sense of proportion in physical, mental, and moral development; and that he alone is educated who has learned the lessons of self control and open-mindedness.

I believe in Norwich, my Alma Mater, because within her halls throughout the years these tenets have found expression while men have been taught to be loyal to duly constituted authority in thought and word and deed; to view suffrage as a sacred privilege to be exercised only in accordance with the dictates of conscience; to regard public office as a public trust; and finally to fight, and if need be to die, in defense of the cherished institutions of America.

We used to laugh at the hippies in Colorado. I guess we never considered them reproducing such intimidating offspring. I wish I could have trained with them, I would expect that it was either enlightening or entertaining... perhaps down right dangerous more than likely.

Darn good shooting with a Glock at that distance

Mohamed Abdalla Mahmoud, 37, had gotten into an argument with his boss, the store manager, at a Ross Dress for Less location in the southern Las Vegas Valley on Saturday. Mahmoud then left the store and returned with a gun. Police believe the incident was an isolated act of workplace violence. The store’s manager was not shot. Bryon Bunitsky, a police officer who responded to the scene, shot Mahmoud as he ran outside and began firing at arriving cops. Mahmoud, who was wounded, underwent surgery and survived.

And to throw in a post-script edit that I should have thought of before I posted it... the caption should read "We can't survivie without the American Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, Coastguardsman, State Police Officer, Sheriff, City-or-local officer, Fireman, EMS, ICE Agent, Warden, Constable, Veteran, Patriot and Good Citizen." The Three Percent is made up of more than uniform-wearers!

My GSD Nick would do that. Loved to bite the stream of water. It was good until he went after a high pressure washer stream. The high pressure water pierced his skin and pumped water under his skin in a split second. He was in terrible pain. We got him to the vet immediately and got him on strong antibiotics.
