Was up hunting my normal unit.
Truck gave me issues one day traveling from camp to a favorite elk chasing place. Came home to sort it out.
Here and now waiting on truck parts, so took off today and hunted a close unit my OTC bull tag was good.
Wind was wild!!
We hiked around and glassed a lot if tight bedding areas they like to hide when its nasty and saw nada.
Huge bull tracks Im guessing were 2 days old. Maybe 3. He crossed a road to private and tracking over.
My buddy nailed a nice bull on opener last Sat and we packed it out.
Processed it Sunday.
He lives in a draw only unit.
This was my view from his living room that afternoon as we were cutting away.
