Far more than 99.9 percent will ever do. I never did a full marathon. A few half triathlons here and there. Can't imagine 50 miles.

Much respect..at this point, every time I think that my fat ass should take up running to become less fat, my back and knees just laugh and say " try it, asshole" . I believe them.

At one month shy of my 51 birthday, It was motivation to get a little more active. My mildly flat feet did me in today.

I paced a buddy last month when he did his 10th one hundred miler. I did 20 miles over night with him without any training. (I had 2 weeks warning, literally).

Thanks for the support because I feel like I failed for not making it. I put it in perspective with age Temps and feet.

I learned my feet suck. My hydration and calorie plans were good to go. Learned need more slick stuff to prevent chaffing (if you know what I mean, you KNOW what I mean)

And learned more training is needed.

And something I knew but relearned today, blisters suck when they explode in your socks.
