I live in a non- Waffle House area, but when I lived down South.... this sums it up. Went after bar most nights. Even met a dude trying to talk me into a pyramid scheme. Waffle House was my go to outside of chow hall. It's been years but I miss it still.

Buddy of mine and I are in a Waffle House about 0300 one morning... in a state...in which you go to Waffle House at 0300.
Lady with her 2 or 3 KIDS, young kids, like all under 5 years old, is also in there. Did I mention its 3am, well to be fair it MIGHT have been like 130 or 2am.
My buddy and I are carrying on like you do, in a certain state, at Waffle House at 0300 in the morning. I think we were smoking cigarettes like you used to be able to do in Waffle House.
The lady come over to us and says "uh hey guys, could you not swear so much or as loudly as you are, my kids are sitting right there" to which my buddy looks at her and looks at her kids and says "WHO IN THE FUCK BRINGS THEIR KIDS TO WAFFLE HOUSE AT 3 IN THE FUCKING MORNING" and goes back to his food and our conversation.
Pretty quickly there was no lady or kids in that Waffle House and the party continued.
I was also in a Waffle House one time, very early in the morning, with a buddy of mine after being out at late night establishments.
I sat down at the table and he went “to the shitter.” Approximately 1 min and 38 secs later, he comes back and plops down in the booth grinning from ear to ear. “What are you so happy about?”
“I took a slam in the urinal,” he says. “Huh?” He clarifies, “I took a shit in the urinal!”
We order our food and then the cook comes from behind the counter and goes in the bathroom. My buddy says, “uh oh.”
A minute later the cook comes out and walks straight to us and says, “one a y’all shit in the urinal?” My buddy busts out laughing. The cook says, “that’s a new one” and walks back to the griddle without giving one flying fuck.

Maybe she was travelling to help a sick relative and had no one to watch the kids or meet her husband whose ship was coming into port. Any number of reasons.
Not worth a confrontation. I'd help her move to the other end of the WH and pay for their meals. She may not have been a "lady" but he definitely was no gentleman,.

We had an early prototype “unmanned” gas station near me.
Just pay at the pump and it had a small building with vending machines and an atm.
It had this system installed in a way that it was very obvious, with lines and nozzles jutting out of the roof.
Man, really didn’t think I’d ever be drawn back to the siren song of Yellow Fever after my Korean gf dumped me back in high school, but just saw Alex Albon’s pro golfer arm candy while watching the Chineses F1 race… Whoo baby!

Tyler Perry does not play around when it comes to aviation stuff. I appreciate that when he’s bringing it in for a landing, he’s concerned about the safety of the people on the ground.
