Is that a real photo? Reasons I wonder is I thought they delayed shuttle launches for cloud cover and would they have a plane close enough to take that shot?

Real or not it's a neat picture. Reminds us of a time before we had a President who diverted funds from NASA for Muslim outreach, and tried to kill most of the program.
