Yeeears ago during the Scout days PPB and Veer were going at each other like a couple of feral cats so 1J and I made a devils pact to gay things up so much that they would get the heebie jeebies and cut that shit out. Well not only did they not stop going at each other like the sexually frustrated feral cats that they are but everyone else started picking up on the humor. In an attempt to calm things down 1J and I (mostly me and his queer AF cat) just gayed up the Hide. ?You always seem to assume things like that.........why is that ?

How about every summer from 1976 until leaving the farm in 1984... to go where there was no %$#ing hay to bale!
Oh and feeding it to horses all winter. And mucking them all year around.
On the bright side... you end up in great shape. And all the horsies attracted an endless stream of adorable teenage girls, who all seemed to be named Megan. Oh, if I knew then what I know now... I'd have invented gravity boots... But, alas... it was a more innocent time.

2 cents a bale if we had to handle them twice...............that had nothing to do with baling it...........picking it out of the field, or off a loader............stacking it on a truck/trailer.............off the truck/trailer on to a stack or into a barn..........
We got 5 cents a bale to get it from the field to stacked in the barn. Myself and 3 friends did that every summer through junior high school and high school for a bunch of ranchers in western Montana. We used my dad's 2 1/2 ton flatbed Dodge. We took turns driving, bucking and stacking. We were the only 4 guys in high school that drove nice newer cars, mine was a red 69 Road Runner.
One thing I remember from those days is, there wasn't enough food, I was always hungry. We would eat 3 or 4 sandwiches for lunch and still be hungry. It did make other things much easier like playing football or basketball, we were kids with grown man strength playing against kids.
