If you ever have lived in California and you love guns. You will understand the joy I have being able to carry a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds, and a normal magazine release button.

It is something a shooting coach argued with me about as well, but hey I'm just blasting sand in this video. However, when it comes to qualifying I always get expert marksmen.

Granted though I am Air Force, and we all know that getting Expert Marksman in the Air Force is nothing like getting it in the Marines or Army.

Haha I shot expert as well when I was in. The elbow thing is something a ton of people do. Its more or less about making yourself smaller than the actual position of the elbow. For instance, if I was shooting from a barricaded position I would not want my elbow chicken winging out there. Practice good fundamentals and they pay off in the end.

15 for new mag sales. All 15+ already owned are grandfathered. All but a handful of County sheriffs publicly stood against it citing the law as unenforceable - i.e. not going to enforce it - and some sued the Governor. Shouldn't be much of an issue after November comes and goes. If it is, then to Idaho I will go.

*It only applies to in-state new sales and in-state "private party transfers" as of July 1 of last year. WY is only 45 min away for me. Not implying anything of course, just sayin...?

15, but magpul doesnt make 15 rounders so most assume its just ten. I will not however encourage civil disobedience by telling you to buy some en route to CO or to tell you that the law is being fought by almost the entirety of colorado's law enforcement except maybe arapahoe, denver and boulder county. I will however remind you that you are now free to purchase a suppressor (through the designated channels). Freedom is much sweeter without ear plugs.

I'm envious. The closes thing I've gotten to true bliss with my AR15 is using that Tac-Con trigger..which is overpriced and not that great.

I understand, I felt the same way during my five year stint on the central coast of California.
However,
It was strange to move from Cali to Colorado when dealing with firearms.
Even after I received my conceal carry license I felt weird/awkward like I was breaking the law. Heck, even going to the range for the first 3-4 months I would make sure all my firearms were locked up and unloaded before putting them in my truck for transport. I've been here for almost 8 months, and just this last weekend did I actually break out magazines over 10 rounds. It took a while but the old California brainwashing finally went away.


However, I have family in San Diego, and I think it is probably one of the USA's most beautiful city's. So I know personally if I would have been living there instead of shitty Lompoc, I might not have moved myself.

If you ever make it out to Colorado, hit me up and we can go blast AR15s together.

When moving here, I had a box full of high capacity mags I bought online after the movie theater shooting years ago. I was living in California at the time so I had them shipped to my family in Florida, knowing one day I would leave the People's Republic of California. My time finally came, but there was that new stupid law in Colorado, so I did what anyone might do and called the El Paso County Sherriff, and had a hear to heart.
In a nut shell the Sherriff said bring your magazines the law is un-forcible until magazine manufactures start putting dates on their products. He even told me that if I were to buy a magazine after the date of the ban and had it in Colorado, that if someone stopped me and asked me about it. All I would have to say is that it was made pre ban, and they couldn't do anything about it.
He did warn me though about carrying in Castle Rock, Denver, Boulder, and Manitou.

Unfortunately I am a resident of TEXAS (active duty), and even thought I would love to vote in November, I feel ensuring TEXAS does not turn blue and elect Wendy Davis is more important than voting here in Colorado. If Texas goes blue the whole country is sunk, and we will loose the Constitution all together.

Same here. Moved to RI. No restrictions there other than NFA toys.

We are surrounded by other states (MA, CT, NY) that have oppressive laws which is a concern but so far our politicians are gun friendly.

For instance qual, in your gas mask, put one round in each target from each of the positions, blah blah, then do it again, this time with the dot site, blah blah, and you'd better not lose track of which of the four targets you have to shoot or your screwed. OTH, the Army, all I ever did was get in the pit shoot them as the popped up out to 300.

Having to qualify with a gas mask on while it's raining and you are rolling around in the mud sucks.

I do like shooting in Army ranges more than an Air Force range.

Yes Brother!!!! I moved from COMMIEFORNIA to TX recently and I literally removed my bullet button after I crossed the state line into TX. Then promptly assembled my spare parts kits...and never looked back! Congrats on the move, shooting will only get better, and more fun.
