Yes, wind is another matter. I was thinking that something wasn't right about one of my only times shooting a moving target. It was elk season, & I had punched my bull @ 516 yds, but he fell, got up, & started off. I tracked him, & accounted for some lead (didn't have time to calculate), & put 2 more into him, but those basically hit where I was aiming, not where I wanted them to go. Now this was from a sling supported sitting position which wasn't ideal, but what I had at the time, so I was wondering why my rnds hit where the crosshair was instead of where I wanted them to go. There was no appreciable wind, as it was lightly snowing. It all worked out in the end, & his mount is on my wall, but I was curious why there appeared to be no lag in the bullet flight.
BTW. The 1st rnd killed him, I just didn't want him to make it to the rim of the canyon, which he did, & tumbled over, & down, & down...
