A buddy and have talked about buying a mower for our church .........a small church, maybe 15 acres ..........we have been using members mowers, but it would be nice to have one on site, and not have to depend on someone showing up with a mower.......They do have a tax exempt number we can use...........any suggestions on getting a "DEAL" would be appreciated.......looking for something like a 60" ZTR................Thank you........

I bought a Gravely one year ago. It’s and awesome, heavy duty machine. I can’t recommend it enough.
If you’re anywhere near Texarkana, Texas, go to Roger’s Marine. You’ll get the best price around. I compared prices in Shreveport, and other dealers in about 100 mile radius,Roger’s Marine beat them all…beat them bad. Roger’s regular price for a Pro-Turn ZX 52” beat Shreveport’s dealer’s sale price by $3000. That was worth a 75 mile drive.

I bought a bad boy rebel back 21-22. Few oil changed and some blades. Thing is a beast. Holds 13 gallons of fuel so you can mow all day. A dealer near me had a new mower with a joystick on the left side. Looked perfect for mowing with a cold drink in your other hand. In several years when mine goes out I’ll take a look. Right now the badboy is still got a long way to go

    Hi,

I may know someone who has specifically specialized special experiences with mowers.

    Sincerely,

Hustler Super Z with Hyperdrive. 72", cuts up to 16mph.
    Here's my daughter on mine:
Owned mine since 2017. Very reliable, Kawasaki 35hp engine, never been back to dealer.

I have a Hustler. It is the least expensive in their commercial line. You need to stay in the commercial lane. You will probably have to buy new. Why?

Because most home owners don't buy new commercial mowers. The ones that do typically keep them for a long time. Finding a low hour commercial is almost impossible.

Commercial operators have commercial mowers. You can find one they had used. It will be high hours, and many worn out and broken parts.

Focus on high horsepower, width, and very importantly, suspension. Suspension seat, what kind of tires, spring loaded front forks. Get a purpose built lift and do your own maintenance.

My lawn mower is more valuable than my truck and my wife's car combined.

15 acres is hefty. Is it littered with trees and other mow-arounds? How is the elevation? Fairly flat or bumpy?

I mow about 4 acres. I get gophers time and again so I’ve got some bumps.

The road is 5 foot higher than the yard in the front so I also have to mow that small hill.

All said, I’ve got a Kubota Z422 with a 54” deck and a Kawasaki engine.

This will be the fifth season mowing with it and it’s been rock solid. Other than oil changes and sharpening blades, I haven’t touched it.

I will grease the blade bearings and whatever else this year.

Kubota is advertising 0% down, .99% interest for 36 months if that helps.

15 acres will require a commercial duty mower for sure , all the major brands will probably be close in quality, my neighbor has mowed residential yards and business landscape for at least the 9 years I've known him , he used gravely for years last year he went with a bobcat brand and seems to be happy with it , I've only got one acre to mow and have a 60" bad boy , had it for 12 years and just last year had to replace the deck bearings and two pulleys, so it's been GTG and it's not considered commercial grade .
