Look no further than Jayson at IGF (Investment Grade Firearms)!!

As far as I am concerned, having owned several pieces of his work and had him do work for me on different HK rifles over the years, is is the HK guru!

The other source to consider is Ralph at RDTS who does a huge variety of MP5/SP89 builds/conversions. Good stuff!

Jayson did some MP5K-PDW work for me a few years ago and it was outstanding.

I agree, Jayson at IGF does do nice work.

I have also had Ralph at RDTS do a build and it was very nice but it also took a VERY long time. I have heard his turnaround has improved.

ETA: One more to consider, Mike at TSC machines is supposed to be the man. No personal experience but I have seen his work and it looks great.

I would say Murray Urbach, but the ATF shut him down. I have a MP5K-PDW and a HK 51 he built at the shop and the work he did on them were about as factory looking as you can get.

Ralph will indeed and it will be correct BUT be prepared for a loooooooooooooong wait unless things have changed in the past year.

Any custom, full-build HK or clone will take you a good long while in terms of wait. Most of it is backlog-related, some of it is parts related, but the biggest problem is the relatively few number of quality HK smiths (you can basically count them on one hand) who can do the work and they are never really short on work!

Go to HKPRO to see some EXCELLENT work done by Joe (Chopstix Kid). He does very good work on building his D54's. I mean he is meticulous, the way most HK snobs want it built. I mean right down to the riveting of the eyelet onto the front triple frame. There are many good builders right now but Joe has that extra degree of attention and he is as ANAL as the rest of us MP5 nuts!
