My experience with the new Barnes 112 grain match burner

Resurrecting my 6creed from the safe. Twisted on a Proof Carbon barrel last year and got distracted. I'm going to start with the 112's. I have an assortment of pills from 105 to 115's. Thanks to all for posting up data to date. We'll see how it goes.

Post your results. I’ve been away from my long range guns for far too long. Hopefully I can get back into it soon!

I've bought 1000 of the 112s. I decided to check how uniform they are. I started with weight. I weighted 300 to be around a 95% confidence level with 5% margin of error.

Not bad at all for an inexpensive bullet.

I'm gonna start a load devs in my 6 Dasher. Probably start at 0.070''

Is a 1.05gr spread kinda normal for rifle bullets? I would have thought 0.5gr would be more normal. I checked a box of my 168gr SMK the other day and they were within 0.3 out of a box of 100.

If you’d increase the sample size you would find some outlier that represent the 32% weirdos.

In that sample 68%(680) are within 0.35gr

Overall it’s decent for a cheaper bullet

I did the same as the OP. Exact same powder charge I use for 105 VLD Target. Loaded up ten at .020 off the lands. 2998 fps avg with an 11 SD. Pretty good results for the amount of time and effort I put into them.
