I have a friend who makes knives on the side as a hobby and had him make me one. The process started as an idea 7 months ago and they have finally come into fruition.
I told him i wanted a knife that I couldn't break the tip on and jokingly told him that it should be able to cut through a car door. Well he took me literally and came up with these.
The smaller one was for me but when i saw the larger one I told him I wanted that one as well to go with my camp pack. Both are A2 tool steel; the shorter one is 1/4" thick and a little under 10" OAL. The longer one is 5/16" thick and 10.5 OAL.
I chose the top and bottom ones and coated them with Moly Resin before he did the final sharpening on them.
And here they are in the sheaths he made for them
