The last of my SWFA SS 5-20HDs from the group buy arrived today. I left work a couple hours early to meet the UPS guy then got to work mounting optics. Figured I would share...

From left to right:

Marlin 917 .17hmr varmint blaster
Remington 700 VS-SF II .223 varmint blaster
Ted Brown built LRB M25 with all USGI TRW parts
24" AR-15 varmint blaster
24" AR-10

The remaining two will have homes on a Sako Quad and an AI AE Mk2 in 6.5 Creedmoor that are both on the way.

Thanks again Frank & SWFA for running the promotion even if it did put a big dent in my wallet.

7 SWAFAs? There's a small fortune alone not to mention the investment in a great collection of sticks. Hope there was a buy 6 get one free deal. Nice! Obvious plans for future builds with the two spares. Post pics when you build the next addition.

$7k to scope 7 rifles with quality optics is a bargain in my opinion, not to mention that you now have commonality across all your weapons.

+1 on that!

I got into S&B's and for that price I could only scope up only 2 rifles at a time. By the way, congrats on the nice collection !

My thought process exactly. I originally ordered two for rifles that needed scopes and about a week later decided "what the hell" and ordered 5 more to replace scopes on 3 other rifles plus another pair for the Sako Quad and AIAE that are on the way. The price/performance ratio of the 5-20 was too good to pass up and I like the idea of having the same scopes on the majority of my rifles. I've been putting a lot of time behind the first pair I received about two months ago that went on the Marlin and .223 bolt gun and they've been performing perfectly after getting bounced around on quads and tractors out in the orchards. Spotting ground squirrels at 350 yards under the walnut trees in the shade isn't a problem, the knobs track great, and the reticle makes for easy holdovers & windage. If I need a finer aiming point I just crank down an extra 1 mil and use the tiny dot in the center of the diamond. In addition to plenty of paper and steel over 130 ground squirrels and a couple of coyotes have already experienced the best the 5-20 has to offer.

I nearly bought an 8th 5-20HD to replace the IOR 3.5-18 x 50 on my R700 .308 but I *really* like that IOR and couldn't bring myself to replace it.
