my new savage model 10

I just picked up this savage model 10 but don't really know much about it? Can anyone possibly shed some light on it for me? I would definitely like to replace the simmons optics thats on it now as well as the stock. Can anyone give me a few suggestions. Also I picked it up for $385 and it looks pretty mint as there isn't even one scratch on it. Is that a fair price? Any info would be great!

Beautiful gun, I dont know how anyone could call a savage ugly. Model 10 is a great action to build off of, if thats what you are wanting to do down the road. Go out and shoot it and if you dont like it, im sure have room for another one.

I think $385 for a complete SA with Accutrigger is a good deal.

Caliber?

Is the rear of the action flat or round?

Is the spacing between the action screws 4.27" or 4.41"?

The cal. is .308 as for the info your asking for regarding the action I'm a little green here and not sure what your talking about? So I've included a few more pictures... hopefully it helps?? One thing I did notice is on the barrel there's a marking that says SP5 and then A5 above it? I'm not sure what that means?

Ok I figured it out... it's 4.41" between the action screws
