my R700 by Conring PWS

Just picked up this rifle Friday down in Georgia at Conring Precision Weapons Systems. I sent him a barreled R700 .308 SPS tactical 20" in an A5 stock, and this is the results... Took it out same day, zero'd at 100yds, then took it out to 300&500, it hammers. I have never even shot to 300 or 500 and the groupings were very tight(egg size at 500), the only error possible with this rifle is me...

Was lucky enough to spend time with Leo Conring for the day, and his wealth of knowledge is mind blowing. Build was pretty damn quick too. He's working on a 6.5-.284win for me that will be here in a few weeks, I saw it at the shop and am having a difficult time being patient.

Looks great. Its always neat to watch them build your rifle.

the pics don't do it justice, the bedding is very slick too. He actually documented the build from day 1, i have about 175 photos of the whole thing... I'm putting an album alongside the kids baby albums, my wife will be thrilled.

I prefer to just say it was incredibly reasonable for what went in, I supplied all the parts and his labor was very fair...
