Bought this rifle new about a month ago, before i fired a single shot i ordered a Boyds Tacticool stock, floor plate, trigger guard, Phantom flash hider(ninja style)EGW 20 MOA base and Bushnell Elite 3200 MIL/MIL scope. Also just bought a Harris SBRM 6-9 to finish her off. Since i couldnt get the end of the scope over the base to back the scope up enough to my eye, my buddy cut it down up front some which made a big difference. Furthest i have taken it out so far has been 200 yards and it did very well. Had no problem hitting 3 and 4 inch targets consistently. Had a bad ejector and just had the mag assembly replaced yesterday so now she's running right. Gonna take it out a little further next time and see what she can do. Very nice medium/long range plinker for the money and it made me forget all about my 10/22. Cheers

Total cost was around $550 plus the bipod which i picked up new for $75 on a local forum. I'll get a suppresser soon, just need to put enough money together to get one for my .308 and a 300 blkout Im gonna be buying. So it might be a while, I'm thinkin by spring I'll submit the paperwork for both cans.

*raises hand*

Nice rifle, but how did you manage to start with a rifle that was NOT a TR and still end up with the bolt handle? I want one for mine.

*Edit* Nevermind me... apparently I have never seen that model. Seems to come threaded with the TR bolt handle. Ignorance abounds in me today.

I dont know about the OP but my Mk II is boringly accurate at 200 with wolf match or SK match. On a calm day its easy but with a little wind things get interesting

Factory action screws fit perfectly. He also replaced the floor plate with the Boyd's one. Still should be plenty of threads left for the even heavier DIP too.

Re: My Tacticool Savage MKII FV SR

I used CCI 40 grain and some Federal 40 grain that day. The federal was the one that comes in a 325 round box for 16 bux or so at walmart. its nicer then the bulk pack stuff. This rifle shoots anything I feed it. Gonna try some wolf match ammo at some point as well. Firing it 200 yards is nice and all but i'm looking forward to stretching it out a little further.

</div></div>You must have been on the same backorder list as me...Mine just arrived today! Waiting on the DIP kit now.

Re: My Tacticool Savage MKII FV SR

I just ordered a Mark II Tacticool yesterday...wonder if they have enough to get to me...?

Regardless, adapting an airsoft stock to a 22LR is pretty neat.

Re: My Tacticool Savage MKII FV SR

I ordered my stock direct from boyds maybe a few days after christmas and got it 5 days later. I had been checking their site daily to see when they were in stock, when it said available i ordered mine.

Re: My Tacticool Savage MKII FV SR

Nice...I bought the TR and love it. Just haven't had time to tweak it more. Put a DIP 20 MOA rail on top with Weaver scope and rings. Would like to get the DIP bottom metal for it and an extra pod-lock for my next swivel bi-pod from them...Just now figuring out what ammo she likes... JaxOps

This is Wolf Match Target at 100 yards on a fairly windy day (NW 13-15 mph)
