Help me narrow it down. This will be primarily a hunting scope. So Low light and glass clarity rules supreme with a good illuminated reticle secondary. Recommendations coming from those who have owned one of these carries the most weight. Oh, if you have one of these for sale right now or something you think makes a better contender, link it below.

Tangent Theta 3-15 Professional
ZCO 420
Kahles 328i
Swaro Z8i 2.3-18x56

John,

Feel free to give me a call at 916-628-3490 and I can help narrow down which option will work best for you :)

Best regards,

Richard

There might still be the Minox ZP5 3-15 on here. If you’re considering a 315P that’s the sister. Pretty simple reticle.

You can’t go wrong with either, but if it’s mainly for hunting, I’d go with the Swaro. The Z8i has outstanding glass, and that 56mm objective pulls in plenty of light Which is good for low light.

I am seriously considering throwing a ZCO 420 MPCT-1X on my 6.5 PRC build this fall. The TT315 is an excellent choice but I am not in love with their reticle options.

I really like the TT-415 except for the zoom range. I would reallly like to have more top end to be able to zoom in and check out a deer at distance before deciding to shoot it. But all the ones with higher top ends don’t go as low at the TT. I guess I need to decide how important that 3x is vs 4x when hunting in close quarters.

I find, like most I'd assume, that I am in the 8-10x range 90% of the time making the low end not as important. It's nice to have more top end with an illuminated reticle when needed IME.
