Hi all, new to Sniper's Hide. Have had guns all my life, just purchased my first ar15, Rock River Arms. I only have a few hundred left to buy my first scope and have heard pro / con on this scope.

What can anyone tell me about the NcStart STM3942G that has MAGNIFICATION of 3X-9X ??

Any suggestions on anything 3x-9x or your suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Re: NcStar scope info

How much do you have to spend? The super sniper, falcon and a few others are around the 300-400 range. I have seen the NC scopes fall apart. If you want a good reliable scope search here and then searh some more. Watch the FS section for a good deal and also people will want you to fill out your profile.

Other than that Welcome to the Hide.

Re: NcStar scope info

Ncstar is the best scope money can buy.I think these super excellent scopes should replace uso, nightforce, leupold,s&b.These four scopes just mentioned are complete crappers.NCSTAR IS THE BEST MONEY CAN BUY.I also think the second best scope you can buy is counter sniper.Oh yeah you cant forget bsa.great scope there also.hahahahahahahahahahahaha...............Oh man i crack myself up.

lmao.. fixed it for ya..

Re: NcStar scope info

IMO for around 200 i'd go with the Bushnell elite 3200 fixed 10 power.

Just a thought.But i guarantee it's a better option than the nc-shitty.

Or save up for something else.

Re: NcStar scope info

Go check out the SWFA Sample List - they'll have something in your price range that is better than NCstar...Hell, get a Burris Fullfield II

Re: NcStar scope info

Aluminum and glass manufactured, if that is even the correct word, by guys that never shot a gun in their life from a far away place. How else can you say SHIT?

Re: NcStar scope info

I had a friend buy one of these and he loves it ! Most everything now a days is made out of the states, reason of the situation we are in !

Scope has a lifetime guarantee and I wonder how many scopes have that ?

Re: NcStar scope info

step away from the scope...put your money back in your pocket slowly...turn around and stick you hands in the air and...RUN LIKE HELL!!!

My vote is Bushnell 4200 elite, Nikon Monarch, or Burris Fullfield II if you are looking 9-10 max. power in your price range.

-edit- In that order

Re: NcStar scope info

Re: NcStar scope info

I bought a NcStar Mark 3 2-7 with the quick release base 5 months ago. I understood it was cheap, but figured it would be ok until I had more fund's available and knew what I really wanted. NOTHING on the scope worked as advertised. Bolth windage and elevation adj. were wrong,
the illuminated reticle stayed at the same brightness no matter which setting it was at, and the scope would constantly come loose from the intergal base no matter how much I tightened it. I had it mounted on a RRA carbine. It was my one and only experence with NcStar.

Kettle cooked for me please. And a Large Root beer.

So it does have a lifetime warrenty! The scopes are soooo cheap it nothing for them to completly replace it. Remember there made in China, probley got a whole $2.00 dollars invested in making a scope. I would take a Burris Fullfield over that piece anyday. Lets just take a NCstar scope and put it thru the same test as the people at USO does with their scopes and see if the lifetime warrenty is the selling point.

How dare you even use USO in the same sentence as NCstar.

Compare it something along the lines of a ATN or Cabelas line of scopes, but for Christs sake, do not even mention a Fujiwan ching chang scope in the same sentence as American brilliance like USO.
