Have a specific powder or bullet?
42.5gr IMR4895 under a 175 SMK in a Mil-Spec case will get you there no problem. Will run between 2,600-2,630 depending on your tube.

You have two options
155 scenars bullets minimum velocity is 2900+ fps. (recommend varget)
or 175 SMK minimum veloctiy of 2600 fps. You won't have any problem reaching out to 1K with either of that.

I've always used for a hunting load and plinking longer distances
150gr Nos Accubond
H4895 - 43.2gr
Fed Match Rifle primer
Runs me 2850fps outa a 22" rock barrel. On a good day its get me to 1000 with no prob on 10" steel.

If all you want is 1000 yards, 155 scenars only need 2650 fps. If you get 155 scenars to 2950 fps, you have a 1300 yard loading.

Also, accuracy at 1000yd will be problematic with your 168gr SMK, as it will probably go sub-sonic before getting to 1K. Stick with the 155 scenars pushed at higher velocity or the 175 SMK.

The myths of overspinning a bullet are great and many.
The negatives encountered with a faster than needed barrel twist are tiny.
