Need a new .223 barrel

Hello all I’m currently building a lighweight coyote rig. I’m looking for lightweight barrel options. Is Faxon my only source for lightweight and accurate? By accurate I mean under 1 moa with handloads. Rifle will wear a 1-4x. Also is a 12 oz suppressor too heavy for a pencil profile? And I have no problem calling up CLE to have them custom turn me something. Just curious as to how light is too light for suppressed use. Would also prefer a Wylde chamber.

This is about the same weight as a gov’t profile barrel, but it’s a “reverse gov’t” profile, so it balances quite nicely:

About $150 shipped.

After I bedded this barrel with red Loctite into a DSG Arms upper, it Shoots Sig Sauer 77smk load sub inch. Hornady steel cased 75 right at an inch (even after firing 13 rounds in short order).

It is a 5.56 chamber though. Not sure how this would handle a suppressor.

Mainly looking for lightweight because this rig will be used in tight quarters. I hunt a lot of creek ground. Shots at 50-100 yards. Anything more I have another rifle for that. And inaccurate rifles just piss me off. And I would use a higher quality optic for load development.

For hunting, and at that distance, you can pick any barrel and not really worry about it. By any, I mean economical.
I picked WOA.

Check out stretch precision, their barrels are sub MOA, have intermediate length gas system which is really nice, and weigh the same as a proof barrel.
I’ve got three of them and have been very happy.

OK, but I'm not the one who speced it as: Must be light weight and shoot 1 MOA or better, when a 4 MOA gun would have filled my needs.

So if your looking for light weight and accurate, proof is the way to go. A pencil barrel is not gonna hold accuracy for shit once it gets hot, its gonna walk like a MF. Dont get mad cause someone gave you the answer to your question, But not that answer you wanted. You want light weight and accurate? Proof is you answer. What light weight? Go with a pencil barrel but accept the fact you gonna have a 2-3MOA gun. Want accurate? go with a heavy profile but its gonna weigh a lot. I still dont know why you need a 1 MOA Gun to shoot shit and rock throwing distance.

I’m not mad because he told me proof. I’m not mad at all. I can buy a match pencil barrel for 225$ that weighs 1.19lbs or I can buy a proof that weighs 1lb 11oz for 920$. So tell me why I want to spend 3 times the money? Seriously tell me. Show me the groups. Also for you guys that obviously have not been coyote hunting your barrel does get hot enough to walk with one or two shots.

I was mainly wondering how light is too light to hang a suppersor off the end of a barrel. I’ve used a faxon match pencil barrel in the past and it was an moa shooter as long as it was cool. 10+ shots yes it did walk.
