I just picked up a RPR in 6.5 Creedmoore also. I shot long range comp many years ago, military class, iron sights only. The RPR peaked my curiosity so I got one. This will be for fun to see how far I can stretch and will also be for some hunting.
Many were recommending the Vortex Viper line of scopes so I went t check them out. Nice scopes. Price was good, especially with the military discounts they offer, but the subtension marks could not be seen at low power on the 6-24x50 FFP models. I was discouraged. I was ready to drop the cash on the counter until I looked through it. The salesman asked me if I had ever looked at the Sig Sauer. He pulled out the Tango4 6-24x50. Priced at $999.99 it was a little more than the Vortex but within my budget. Bottom line is it's a really nice scope. Subtensions are very visible at all magnifications. Clear, bright glass. I got the mildot model. Turrets and reticle are in mil which I really like. No mental gymnastics converting mils on the reticle to minutes on the turrets. Has 15 mil of elevation (52MOA) adjustment. Not as much as the Vortex HS LR model but more than enough for long range in the creedmoore.
Just a recommendation if you are looking for a nice scope for a reasonable price.
