All, I’m looking for an accurate 9mm load. Running out of bullets and powder, looking for options. Tell me what recipe works well for you.
I was running 115fmj
5.0gr of Win231
COL: 1.150”

For accuracy and especially at longer distances my best results came with Titegroup and HS6...the longer the bearing surface the better my pistols and carbines shoot. Testing 130s right now.

I'm setting up to reload 9mm, have everything, just need to get other projects finished first.

I'll be loading 115 FMJ and 147 XTP. I was told 5gr of CFEPistol for each. I'll agree with that for the 115 since it's under the 5.5gr Hornady published max; but not for the 147, which is listed in the same manual with max at 4.3gr.

My Ruger American Pistol 9 Pro is marked for +P loads; just 'cause it is doesn't mean I have to.

I tested 10 shots each of 3.5, 4.0 & 4.5 grains of bullseye under a 115 coated hardcast across all my 9mm's to try to find a common load that would shoot well. Over all I found 4.5 grains to work the best. I did the same with 124 grain coated hardcast and found 3.7 to shoot the best.

I shoot m&p 9mm , that being said they all have apex fitted barrels except my compact. I have a backyard pistol range and have tested loads extensively in my ransom rest ( the only way to really test a load). After testing everything from xtp to gold dots to extreme plated, berrys plated , 124g, 125g 147g, even 160g. I dont have my load books in front of me but in 9mm I shoot 125g jhp zero bullets. For my defensive loads it's 125 xtp. The zero 125g jhp is the most accurate 9mm bullet I've ever tested. As is there 185 jhp in 45acp. At 25 yards in the Ransom the 125g jhp will do under 1" all day that's 5 round groups . I shoot 3 6 round groups and don't count the first round as it is hand chambered-flier. Also I should mention I use accurate 2 powder exclusively for my 9mm loads.

Thanks All - Good stuff! Looks like I'll be going with titegroup or HS-6 and I really want to try the Zero 125JHPs.

Both TG and HS6 are good powders, but opposite ends of the spectrum in burn rate. HS6 is filthy at low pressure, fyi. TG is smoky no matter what, but that is negated a fair bit by using jacketed projectiles. Both are highly capable of accurate loads. Zeros are a great bullet, check out the Everglades Ammunition JHP V2s as well. Cheaper than the Zeros by a decent margin, easier to get ahold of, and exceptional accuracy.

Bullseye is a notoriously accurate powder, and a lot of the bullseye pistol shooters also like Power Pistol (though it is very loud and very flashy) for very precise loads.

Bullseye is a good powder , just terribly dirty. I've never tried the everglades ammo jhp. However I've tried rmr, xtp, speer, xtreme, berrys, ranier, and precision delta to name a few . The zero's in my tests out shot all the competition both in 9mm and in 45acp.
They have my business

I've tried Bulleseye, tg, power pistol and even some red dot way back when pistol powder was hard to come by. Most recently worked up some Everglades 147gr jhp loads with n320.

I loves, loves me some n320. Clean, accurate, soft butter like perceived recoil, nice low report, especially vs pp.

Also add Everglades jhp are outstanding out of my 9mms.

N340. Most accurate, cleanest burning 9mm powder I've tested. Gave my buddy my load data with N340 recently and he experienced identical results. Powder Valley had VV powder sale recently, not sure if it's still going on.
