Hey guys what's up? I'm trying to find a few different kinds of optics and would like some assistance in located them if you wouldn't mind. I own a couple or 22lr rifles that I need a decent red dot sight for.mI've been looking at a few on opticsplanet.com that seem ok. I like the Sightmark Ultra Dual Shot QD Reflex Sight.

Also I was wondering if there was a company out there that made a more affordable short range scope just like the Acog brand scopes? I'm not a hardcore shooter so I don't require the best of the best just something I can put on target and shoot with but is made well.

There are all kinds of cheap red dot sights out there if you are looking for something affordable. Just try google and you will find lots.

I have the primary arms mini reflex micro green dot. I like it, but wish it had an intensity setting so i can turn it off or down. no problem seeing it in broad daylight either.

I was looking at the sightmark dual reflex too... hopefully someone else chimes in as i was thinking of getting it as kinda a backup sight for my AR15.

If you are looking for a sight that looks like that I agree with Quickdraw40. The Burris Fastfire is not the best sight on the market like but it is a good one. I have been running one an AR for about 2 years now with no issue. If you what a really good one I would say the Leupold Delta Point.

Here is a link to the Burris Fastfire.

If you're looking at the Sightmark, I'd wait and get the Fastfire II. I use one on and AR15, a 10/22 All-Weather, and a Ruger Charger. I liked the brightness on the Leupold Deltapoint, but I couldn't justify the extra money when the Fastfire II works so well.

I'm suspicious of optics that add features like lasers - I want my purchase price going to the lenses and coatings.

There are 14 firearm-specific mounts for the Fastfire II in addition to the weaver/picatinny mount.

Burris also makes a riser/protective wing/battery holder/tool kit:

It's pricey at $99, but if you're using an AR, it puts the Fastfire II at the correct height for cowitnessing, and has a compartment for carrying a spare battery, and holds an open end wrench and Torx wrench. Inspector Gadget would love it!
