Getting right to the point, I have a Savage 10FP 308, I have $500 (have the ok from the wife to go higher if needed) towards a scope. The range I belong to has a 200 yard max to shoot... but I have places (private property) I can shoot the rifle past 200 yards as well.
I have been reading in this room for weeks. I have looked at Nikon, Leupold, Weaver, and Burris. Im thinking of staying in the range of 3x12 or 4x14 in a 42 to 50 AO... also with a mil reticle.
The only straight 10 power I could find was the Bushnell 3200 series. The Bushnell seems to get good reviews, but I think I can do better.
Just need your expert opinions about the optic manufactures, power, and reticles. Thank you Sirs.
