After some time I have decided to setup a rig for shooting at distance. My local range goes up to 500y, and another I have access to goes up to 600y but I do not go there much. I have ordered a brand new Remington 700 LTR which should be here late this week. I may also use it for some hunting and of course plinking. I was planning to put on a Sig Sauer Tango 4 in 4-16x44 with the MOA DEV-L reticle $699. From the research I have done this should fit my application but if there are issues here please let me know. Here is the manufacturers page on this scope: https://www.sigsauer.com/store/tango4-4-16x44-mm.html
I was planning to use the Nightforce XTRM Direct Mount $220 to attach this scope. From what I am reading it will work on the 8-40 screws the action is setup for. Where I am confused is which one to order. I have researched ways to determine which one to order for the above scope but I am confused to say the least. My choices are Low .885, Medium 1.0 or High 1.125. I do not anticipate needing to move this scope and it will stay with the rifle. Some assistance from you all would be greatly appreciated. https://www.nightforceoptics.com/riflescopes/accessories/mounts
I also welcome any input on my rig as well. I will probably add a muzzle brake to it for long range sessions and at some point in time I will either drop it into an MDT LSS-XL chassis or I may just buy new bottom metal for the HS Precision stock that comes with it. I'd love to put it in a Manners T2A someday so that's an option as well.
Thank you,
