I'm getting married in less than 2 months and I need to get my groomsman and ushers a gift yet. Does anyone have any idea's for a group of guys that hunt/fish/backpack?
I've though about a knife but I'll end up spending 50 bucks a piece for anything worth a hoot. I'm looking to spend about 30 bucks each on these yea-hoo's. A bottle of booze is an easy cop out and before I do that, I'll see if anyone's got a kickass idea.

Swiss Army Knives are not 50$ and are decent ( I stillhae one I got from myparents in 1966).

Gift certificates to Outdoor Stores/Gun/Ammo/Hunting supply shops...

This is a great idea along with their name and date of the wedding engraved in it. I still have mine from a wedding I was in along time ago.

Sound advice! I'd get them all Ballistic FTE for their mobiles.

Knives will get lost, broken, or put in a sock drawer. Basically never to be seen again.
Cufflinks or tie tacks will get used precisely once, then relegated to the same sock drawer.
T-Shirts are chock full of gheyness and will see the trashbag as soon as they enter the house.
Pens are cheesy and will follow the knives' path.
Money clips are out too. Who the hell uses a money clip?
Wallets are a no-go. People are crazy picky about theirs.
Mugs are cool. If you like "QEFTSG"
Bottle of booze screams, "I'm lazy and retarded too!"

I'm going with "custom flask here". Something on the different aspect than Grandpa Jim's silver sipper tin. Can be used or put on a shelf for a cool decoration.

Monogram person's initial on the front, wedding date and info on the back.
Classy, cool, and unique.

NO, if you want to be cool, get him a Nightforce scope some USO. I have been one several times, I would not want another flask. Come on Hook a brother up!

I'd be happy with a couple of pictures of the wife...maybe frame them if you want to get fancy.

Either that or refund them the money for the tux.:)

I've got 3 or 4 engraved flasks and a beer stein. All of them sweet.

My favorite one was a straight razor with mug/brush with my initials on it.

Re: Need kickass groomsman gifts

Its been a while now, but I got a good deal on a "bulk" order of Gerber Multiplier (don't recall which model...black, multitool, locking, etc.). Each came with a cordura pouch, and I had each groomsman's name and the wedding date engraved on them. Total, with the discount, shipping and engraving, I had about $60 in each one. I know that's a little more than what you were looking to spend, but in my case, I regularly shoot, hunt, fish and generally hang around with all of them and they are all still using them on a pretty regular basis to this day almost 8yrs later.

Having been on the receiving end of good cigars/gift sets like what Switch and others have suggested...also an EXCELLENT gift (just don't go cheap on the cigars!).

Re: Need kickass groomsman gifts

Call up blackhawk, i ordered a bulk order through them on the range bags. Really well built bags, and they had the emriodred with the groomsmans names on the opening flap. really nice !!

Just a thought, i think they where 55 ea. total shipped

Re: Need kickass groomsman gifts

I gave my best man an engraved all-metal Spyderco. A similar current model would be the tool-steel Spyderco Police. Much appreciated, and still used some 16 years later.
