Sold my manners T4A needing a new stock or chassis now. Can’t make up my mind between a AICS AX chassis or a MPA BA competition chassis or should I just go back to a manners? Anyone have experience with those chassis? If so what did you like and dislike?

I like MPA own three but boils down to what feels good.
At the gun club or competitions try to get behind as many stocks/chassis most people are very helpful.

I just hopped on the MPA train and I can say there will be more in the future with up coming builds. I really like the fact I can adjust everything with me behind the rifle to get it just right, and the ability to tweak the balance with weight kits is always nice.

I’ve had the three you mention.
They are all great but I’m back using manners prs1 and T4A-team.
My decision came down to feel and sound, other than that they were all easy to shoot.

I’ve used Manners, then MPA, then MDT. For me it would beMDT or Manners. The MDT seems like a more refined MPA. As said above best to try them all before purchasing. Manners has tweaked their stocks with a thumb shelf(indentation) would be perfect for me, just add adjustable length of pull and it would be pretty sweet. Adjustability is awesome.

MPA has that too....

...and a nice butthook.

Yup the MPA is one of the best thumb shelf, just pointing out that Manners now has nice thumb shelf now. MPA is very ergonomic, just didn’t love the set screws for locking in adjustments. Much prefer MDT adjustments. YMMV.

On the web, MPA has thumbwheels for those adjusments, so I need to call them and ask, cuz mine doesn't. Maybe its an accessory.

I’ve gotten to try all those but the MDT and I’ve been looking at it hard lately. Was just curious what everyone and noticed about those chassis’s in the long run after using them awhile. I’ll mostly be shooting PRS style matches with it if that helps any.

I've got manners, mpa,ai ax I love all three. the adjustability of the mpa and ai ax ad more versatility but all of these stocks are solid u can't go go wrong with any of them only thing with manners is u have to bed them and wait times r lengthy

Or buy a mini chassis and one of the dozens of in stock options on Altus/in the PX

Own MPA Manners JAE
Have had KRG. AI

They all have their own benefits. And until you get behind all of them you wont know which works best for YOU

Example. I despise the ACC. Because of one reason. The way I cycle the bolt doesnt exactly work too well on an ACC. Otherwise it's a great option

I run a MPA comp chassis, manners, and a foundation. I like all three but the foundation feels the best to me. Love all the adjustability of the MPA. Didn’t like the tuning fork feel on recoil. Add the full wait kit now I don’t really don’t notice it. Enjoy shooting it more now. Manners are great. They feel great! It’s all personal preference on stock to chassis feel. Go to a club match and ask to try a few. See what feels good to you.

I switched to the XLR envy because the combination of the TLC grip and adjustable thumb rest made it feel like I was behind a traditional stock. I will be getting another because of the customer service alone.

Manners get real pricey when you try to upgrade them to compete with the standard features that come on an MPA. I just bought a PRS1TK. $1200 baseline. Now have to pay to open the barrel channel for a mundane normal contour like heavy palma, bed in a Henderson Mlok rail, $200 for an Area 419 rail. The thumb rest indent is in a wierd spot. I don't know who the hand model was but it doesn't feel natural.

I used XLR for a couple of years. I liked them but their failure to innovate quickly had me migrate to MPA. The need to have tools on hand to adjust every thing was a minor annoyance. Really, when they debut'd the Envy with all the teasers "Something big awaits!" And then , boom! ...an element with a few basic features built in...a half pic and half Arca rail. At that point I left. The current Envy looks a lot better but I'm diehard invested in MPA for comp rifles.

I haven't tried an ACC. It really just looks like they ripped off MPA and tried to improve on all the innovative features MPA has standardized. Perhaps they did improve on them, IDK. I know a lot of guys that switched from MPA to MDT bc they were tired of MPAs customer service, which I totally understand. I would say MPA is up there with some of the most frustrating CS I've had to deal with. They couldn't make a projected deadline +/- 20% if they tried. And what's worse they don't bother to update you. You have to contact them and when you do they initiate the Australian Peel, smoke grenades, and flash bangs while shrimping away.

Here are some things I like about them. Manners: looks, texture and feel when hunting. MPA: the family of upgrades and accessories. Phil's constant innovation. AI: their folder lock up is probably best in the biz. XLR: customer service is awesome
I really liked my T4A but for the price someone offered me it was more than I even paid and couldn’t turn it down. Ended up finding a MPA comp chassis someone was selling for about $700 so figured I’d give it a try and see how I like it. I didn’t know about MPA’s customer service though and tbh I think that’s a big selling point I look for in a company.
