Right, cat and pigeon time.

Building a Tactical rifle, got a few choices but want a few second opinions.

First calliber it.s going to be 6.5x47, dont argue, seen the results and its scary. Got a .308 rem 700 feel like something diferent.

second, got oddly spade like hands so find the AICS stock on my remmy a bit "skinny"

Thirdly, it aint gonna see combat but the courses of fire and the comps im into are "robust".

dont want to put a run on the currency markets either.

any ideas??

Re: new build

Thats the really big question, the AICS is a good base but will require some serious fetling to get it on the run.
First the base of the grip will have to be based to add palm heel support then the waist of the pistol will have to fattened to pull the finger away from the trigger as at the moment it's far too close, this will make it ugly as hell.
Friend of mine has done this on a tac rifle and the easy option would be to follow his thinking, but I am cussid and want to make my life difficult.
It all fitted the previous owner, he was a circus midget I think.

Re: new build

If I can get one for a good price (in these troubled times) I am going for a "wild dog" tactical, the grip to triger distance is better than the AICS (which I just cant get on with and spend half my time mussleing the shot).

failing that it may be down to the Mcmillan A5.

if I can find one second hand. in the UK
