I would guess the bean counters are seeing how many takers they get on the recall before they figure out a means of compensation
I only purchased 5 boxes so it’s not a huge loss for me. I’d be ok with a voucher or coupon code to cover the amount for a future order. If they want the ammo back they are going to have to send me a shipping label and schedule a pickup at my door.
Since they never let us know how they would handle this recall, my gut tells me some bean counter is tallying up what this recall would be worth before they announce and decide on a resolution.
Received an email, they are doing the right thing by me. I'm sure they will do the same with everyone else.

Still haven’t received a resolution email but I’ll let everyone know what they decide to do good or bad.
I have now received a followup email from Eley and they are giving my a brick of my choice of ammo. The interesting thing is that Ultra is not one of those choices. So I choose Tenex. They also don't let you ask for a lot speed, phoey. So it is going to be the luck of the draw.
They let you keep what you have. Big deal I get to keep 500 rounds of known bad stuff.

Funny, I received the same thing. Oddly enough I have been asked by 2 different people what I wanted. I said Tenex, response was clear. I should have it soon, they said they would get it shipped. Now this came out. I'm thinking many people have done the same thing and asked for Tenex. I wonder if that is taxing their supply?
Tenex is just too fast for me. My rifles prefer stuff 1080-1100 fps range.
I wanted to see how well this Ultra would do. I shoot at a 100M indoor range so I can get a pretty good read without wind skewing the results. I have Tenex and most of the other stuff they would let me get. I wanted them to replace my bad Ultra with what they think is good Ultra so I can see if it buys me anything over what I normally shoot at 100 yard matches.

I have had the best luck with Lapua Super Long Range. Sounds like you have been in the game a while and don't need to list any disclaimers. According to my supplier it will not be available again until Q3 this year.
My email came from Eley and not Killough. strange Are you allowed to select Ultra as your replacement?
I suspect, but do not know, there is no good ultra. It was a failed experiment. They may perfect it later or not. I also suspect it will just fade away like NEW COKE did.

At this point I wouldn’t even want to try Ultra until they have it squared away. I can wait.
Interesting observation. Still, a bullet built with Tenex percision at a higher speed with a bullet that had a higher BC would be a real winner here. Because they changed to the more common bullet shape away from the EPS seems to say that the EPS doesn't have a high enough BC and may not have good transonic stability since they are trying to shirt the speed of sound

So can I but since they are only recalling one lot it may indicate other lots are OK unless this is the only lot they have released. Does anybody know if other lots are out their?

I didn't buy mine from Killough. I got mine from Champion's Choice. That may be why I got my email from Eley directly

When I ordered, Only Creedmore had the Ultra at 242.97 delivered.
After two submissions to Eley, got a brick of Tenex from Killough at $210 delivered price.
Now I have overpaid, have a brick of Ultra that is absolutely worthless to me and am out $32.97!

It does seem like QC of a lot of match ammo rimfire and centerfire has fallen off, like so many products/industries the last few years. I feel like the graph of "They don't make them like they used to" fell off a cliff when covid hit and has never recovered. Companies were able to get away with a lot during that time and consumers blamed covid, most of those constraints no longer exist, but consumers have just become used to crappy stuff. Sadly consumers as a whole wield more power than they can fathom, but are too stupid to actually use it to improve their situation.
