The more I research on that 3-18x56 T6xi the more I think that will be my next scope. Expert voice has great deals on steiner optics.I literally just got it so verdict still out for a while. But initial impressions show promise.

I called US Optics this week and directly inquired about their glass origin/where the scope is made. They replied the glass for this scope is sourced from both China and Japan for different lenses, ocular and objective, but the scope is 100% manufactured, tested, and QC checked in NC since 2019. USO rep told me it was a common misconception that they were made in China. Honestly, I could care less as long as the company itself is US and the product is quality. I believe the majority, if not all, of companies source from outside the US. After reading multiple positive reviews and watching Ilya's review of the TS-12x (he seemed to like it), still looking for an actual technical reason not to buy. It’s made in china. There’s your reason.

Edit - I could be wrong but I think it's basically the same scope as this one. https://airgunopticsplus.com/collec...focal-plane-illuminated-reticle-with-sunshadeRegarding the MPVO discussion, any considerations/opinions for the US Optics TS-12x?
3-12x44mm, 30mm tube, 18oz, super short 9.6 in, MHR Mil reticle in FFP (although no illumination), parallax 10yds-inf, locking turrets, most reviews claim decent-good glass, and only $595.00 list price.
It seems to tick all the boxes and from a great company in NC USA! I am trying to find a reason not to buy this scope.
Definitely interested in the 5x version. Kinda think the 3x would be hard to see usable Mil hashes.Well, looks like @Primary Arms has dropped another hot potato! I hope they offer it in a 5x version! If so, I have some old 3x Vortex Spitifres that are going to be getting sold! I know this won't be an optic for everyone, but I for one really like the concept! Plus, the fact it's MIL means you can put it on whatever and not have to adapt the BDC to whatever you're shooting.

I wouldn't put my 4.5-28 up against my zco 5-27 or 4-20. It's not there full package wise.@Glassaholic how are the new turrets on March with the shirken stuff? Im weighing getting a March 4.5-28
other than 'parallax forgiveness (ZCO/TT seem to be in own league)' would you put that up against the 527 ZCO? Read an article where March came close to a TT (in their opinion) except for blurring at edges on the March (due to super wide FOV/short overall length/high erector ratio). Not much info by way of turrets and feel versus xyz.... I just like the idea of a 10mil rev set up, my ZCO turrets (15mil per) is pushing the edge of too close between clicks for me.
Another thing Im wondering about is the '0set.' My only real question is can I set it like a NF turret to 5.0mil (1/2rev) below actually 100yd zero and 0.0 on turret?

Depth of field and eye relief mainly. I don't think the resolution is quite on same level either. Everything else is comparable.I would love to hear your assessment of what is lacking.

Take a look at 3-18 t6xi, or even a new 2.5-20 nx8. I demo'd an early 2.5-20 and the one I acquired last summer is 100X better. I feel IQ on the 3.6-18 mk5 isnt in same league as the previous, but it's the lightest too.DoF on par or better than - like a razor G2 (haven't looked thru a G3), or a Leup Mk5 3.6-18?
Niche Im trying to fill is a ~5-18x (or more either direction), ultra short (<13"), scope for thermal - to more easily reach thermal focus ringEasy answer is 420ZCO but the ocular on ZCO won't fit a TriggerCam (or so Ive read) so also needs a sub ~48mm ocular.
Im going to have to 'compromise' somewhere it seems....

Maybe just save some $$ and grow arm extensions lol?
Shuriken lock turrets are best March has put out, I would put them in the same sentence as Schmidt DT II+ and TT, yes, I think they are that good. Distinct solid, tactile clicks with excellent spacing and very little play, locking mechanism is outstanding.@Glassaholic how are the new turrets on March with the shirken stuff? If someone is looking for pure optical performance I would recommend ZCO and TT above March. But March didn’t design this scope to compete at this level, they designed the scope to cover the magnification range of a 4-20 and 5-27 combined in a short package that could be more easily used with clip ons. For me personally I’m willing to give up a little optical performance for these features and I also prefer the FML-TR1 reticle over everything ZCO offers and about on par with Gen3 XR from TT. I loved both my 4-20 and 5-27’s I’ve had but not a fan of the reticles always brought me back to the March. Minox ZP5 and TT is the best glass experience I’ve had behind a scope, but with TT massive size and defense budget needed for purchase wouldn’t allow me to justify them long term, ZP5 is the best bang for the buck, but at the cost of warranty work in Germany and some QC issues, I do wish I would have kept at least one of my ZP5’s.I wouldn't put my 4.5-28 up against my zco 5-27 or 4-20. It's not there full package wise.

Zero set is better than previous March but not like TT, you can set it wherever you want but it is pressure set and with enough force can be moved beyond the set position. NF, Schmidt, TT and others use an actual stop mechanism that prohibits further travel regardless of force.
Bit of a necro bump, but does anyone know if Minox or ZCO are going to do 10 or 12 mil/rev on their 5-25 ZP5 or 420/527 anytime within the next 1-2 years?
420 with 10 mil?ZCO does have an option for 10MIL turrets on the ZC527 now

Zero Compromise Optic 2023 ZC527 MPCT2X and 10 MIL Turrets
05/19/23: 10 MIL and MPCT2X are starting to ship! Get in line for the pre-order here!!! 05/08/23: And the first ZC527 10MIL NLE have arrived!!! Extremely impressed with this option with it's wider spacing and heavier clicks. I personally picked the ZC527 10MIL NLE with the MPCT2X to compare...www.snipershide.com
