I received my tax stamp and Kestrel 556. It works great. I shot at an indoor range and normally would never do that with my AR15. It sounded deep and low but not loud. I was between the lane safety walls but the ranger officer behind me said it sounded like an unsuppressed 22lr rifle. I can't wait to shoot it out doors. My muzzle rise was dramatically reduced and I was back on target fast for a great group.

Next time I will freak out the staff and put in my 22 conversion and shoot it.

Can I shoot my Apex 22lr suppressor on my AR 15 when using the 22lr conversion? I use it on my 10/22 and 22lr pistols, of course.

Yes, as long as the threads are not too long on the barrel for your rimfire suppressor. This could cause alignment issues but I believe I've read that this can be resolved with a spacer that you would use when using your rimfire suppressor on a standard AR barrel. I use a Tactical Solutions dedicated 22lr upper and it has the shorter threads on the muzzle that most rimfire suppressors use, so I have not had to deal with this.

Using subsonic ammo in with that combo (22lr AR or conversion/suppressor) is stupid quiet and is probably my favorite setup. I mainly run CCI standard velocity ammo and it works like a champ, while being surprisingly accurate.
