Have been shooting short range stuff for years (AR's inside of 100 yards). I recently bought a "deer rifle", thats what I told the wife it was, and I am excited to start shooting farther. I bought a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoor and added a Vortex Diamondback (4-12 with exposed turrets).

What forum would be the best to start asking basic questions???

Depends on the topic. If you look at the sub forum topic descriptive headings & it should be fairly self explanatory. If you get it wrong a forum member will probably steer you back on track, not to worry! Oh, and welcome aboard.
