So don't think my rifle like the Eldm's the smaller group was my m118lr clone load second was 178 eldm. .20 off the lands with 43.5 grains of imr4064. This sucks because I figured the eldm would fly better oh well I'll shoot up what I've got and get some more smk's
If I could find a few of the 185 jugs I've been told try those but idk since it shoots the 175 so good
Rifle picture cause why not

This is right in the middle of a node and I tried them originally at 2.8 length and the group was worse. Maybe .15 jump instead of .2 but that's a little closer than I like. How do yours like to be jumped

In the rem SPS 308win I had I ran them at 2.895" and they were still jumping .040" or more but consistently shot in the .5 moa range running 2650fps.
That is using AR-COMP and with Varget they shot consistently in .625" moa range just liked to run a little faster with Varget.
It shot equally as well with the 168amax and Varget around 2730fps but were jumping a long ass ways.
I would do a seating depth test before giving up on them If you are allready invested in them.
The SMK bullets are extremely easy to tune in 308 from my experience with them to the point that it doesn't make a damn were they are at in relation to the lands so it's an easy pick for many people.

True we've got one place that carrys them but I generally don't frequent his shop cause he's a bit of an ass.

The best advice I could give in that regard is order any and all components you can that don't carry a hazmat fee online.
You would be surprised how much can be saved by shopping around and the availability is far greater.
