I've been checking out Mike's blog on all the new glass coming out from S&B and Leupold. The stuff looks great. My fav is that 1x8 S&B short dot.

One thing I noticed is they all seem to be sporting new 'locking' turrets, designed so they can't be accidently turned.

Now I'm just a competition/BLM weekend warrior and locking turrets seem to me like they'd be a PITA but I'm wondering what you guys think.

I honestly thought they sucked when I first got my Short Dot a few years ago. However, once you get used to it, they aren't too bad. It all depends on what you are doing. There is a reason why this is designed for short/mid-range combat vs. a competition scope with target turrets.
